1.  Birth Head Trauma

Objectives:  Basic brain anatomy of the neonate, commonly seen lesions of the scalp, skull fractures and intracranial injuries, clinical course and expected outcome of each head injury

2.  Neonatal Seizures

Objectives:  The clinical signs and symptoms of neonatal seizures, nursing management and medical treatment of the infant with seizures, outcome data for infants and children with a history of neonatal seizures

3.  Whole Body Cooling

Objectives:  Understand the rationale for neonatal cooling, nursing management of the infant who is cooled, outcome data for infants who are cooled.

Rush University College of Nursing and University of chicago Comer Children's Hospital.  NNP tract director and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
